The VTMAA “Ving Tsun Martial Art Association” classes provide the ongoing study of the art and are open to students of all skill levels. Students build on what they have learned in the beginner’s class then develop a greater understanding of the first form and its applications. Continuing students move through the system advancing as they are ready to do so. Those who put time and effort into their training will see, through their own experience that Ving Tsun, correctly executed, is a highly effective system of self defense. Students advance in the system based on appropriate commitment, effort, attendance and attitude and their individual readiness for learning new material.
We maintain an informal, ego-free environment at the Ving Tsun Martial Art Association, modeled after Sifu Ip Ching’s class at the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong.
The VTMAA offers open classes for men and women, private lessons and seminars focusing on specific elements of Ving Tsun principles and practice. One open class each month is dedicated entirely to street applications of Ving Tsun for self defense. Classes here offer serious training in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The VTMAA is pure self defense. If you want to be able to defend yourself and do not want to be a victim then this is the place to train. We can teach you how use Ving Tsun to protect yourself and the people you care about. All you need to do is show up practice and be committed.
The study of Ving Tsun is cumulative – the more you train the more you get out of your training.
